Lumos Learning Center exists to provide high-quality intervention for students who struggle to learn in traditional settings. We provide structured, systematic, multisensory, repetitive interventions for literacy and math. We meet students where they are and give them the tools they need to grow.
Our Services
Dyslexia Therapy
For students who struggle to remember spelling and reading rules and find reading to be laborious. This program uses an Orton-Gillingham approach to make sure reading and spelling instruction is structured, systematic, and multisensory.
Comprehension & Written Expression
For students who can read words fluently but struggle to track ideas and compose their thoughts successfully. These sessions focus guiding students with strategies to focus while they read, how to take key notes, and be able to accurately summarize.
Multisensory Math
For students who are in need of a new approach to math and have struggled to keep up with their classes. Multisensory math uses the theory behind Orton-Gillingham teaching and applies it to mathematics with a hands-on approach.
Who Are We?
I'm Bri McClung, the owner of Lumos Learning Center! I'm here because all children should have the tools to read and do math and unfortunately those needs are not always met at school. In a world that expects math and literacy skills, I provide the tools, strategies, and multitude of repetitions necessary for those skills to stick.
